To gain access to the cleanroom, all users must complete the USC EHS general lab safety training and the cleanroom-specific safety training. In addition, to maintain access, all users must complete annual cleanroom-specific safety refresher training.
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for the cleanroom
Below are pdf files of the SDS for specialty chemicals located in the cleanroom. For non-specialty chemicals, the SDS sheets can be found at the USC EHS website.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
The Laboratory Policy Handbook states all operating policies.
The Emergency Response SOP for the Nanofabrication Facility includes the SOP for the facility and the MCB basement.
Chemical Management: Before bringing a new material or chemical into the facility, a chemical registration and approval form (word or pdf) must be completed and submitted to the cleanroom staff to register the material in the online chemical inventory. When a chemical is completely used, alert the nanofabrication facility staff to update the chemical inventory.
Chemical Handling SOPs: Several SOPs have been written for the handling of common chemicals and performing standard procedures in the cleanroom. In addition to the ones below, USC EHS has written several SOPs for common lab practices and procedures and posted them on their website.
